Diego Rivetti

Diego Rivetti serves as Senior Debt Specialist in the Global Debt and Macroeconomics Unit of the World Bank's Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Department, where he has established himself as a leading expert in public debt management and market development. After earning his degrees in Economics from the University of Turin, he built an impressive career spanning international organizations and private banking. His expertise encompasses debt transparency, sustainability analysis, and market development, evidenced through his influential work "Debt Transparency in Developing Economies" and technical assistance activities across developing nations. Prior to joining the World Bank, he gained valuable experience as a long-term expert in public debt management for the IMF in the Caribbean region and as a debt analyst at UNCTAD, following six years at Italy's largest bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, where he worked across Italy and Romania from 2001 to 2007. Through his current role, he continues to shape debt management practices while maintaining focus on developing government securities markets and enhancing debt transparency in emerging economies.
