His remarkable academic output includes over 345 research articles, 19 books as editor, and more than 8,100 citations with an h-index of 42. His groundbreaking contributions include developing the world's first MOOC on Educational Data Analytics for teachers, which has reached over 25,000 participants from 180 countries through the edX platform. As Editor-in-Chief of the Educational Technology & Society Journal (2003-2018), he pioneered open access in educational technology research, with the journal now ranked 8th globally in Educational Technology.
