David Tatem

David Tatem serves as an Instructional Technologist at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he has established himself as a leader in educational technology and data visualization. His work focuses on supporting faculty and students in their use of technology for teaching, learning, and research, with particular emphasis on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping, and data visualization. Tatem's expertise extends to maintaining Trinity College's WordPress network of over 700 sites and 2000 users. Recently, he has been exploring emerging technologies such as 3D printing, virtual reality, and drones, obtaining his FAA Remote Pilot's License to develop curriculum for drone-based mapping and cinematography courses. His contributions to the Trinity College community include serving on various committees like the Exempt Staff Council and the Center for Urban and Global Studies Advisory Committee.
