David Lefevre

Dr. David Lefevre currently serves as Professor of Practice in Digital Innovation at Imperial College Business School, where he explores the applications of AI in education following his influential tenure as Director of the EdTech Lab, which he founded in 2004. After earning his BSc in Mathematics from the University of East Anglia, MSc in Computing Science, and PhD in instructional systems from Imperial College London, he has established himself as a leading voice in educational technology innovation. Under his leadership, the EdTech Lab grew to deliver over 200 online modules annually, launched Imperial's first Global Online MBA program in 2015, and garnered numerous accolades including a Gold award at the IMS Learning Impact awards. In 2022, he transitioned from leading the EdTech Lab to focus on AI strategy adoption and infrastructure development at Imperial's Center for Digital Transformation. As a member of the British Council's Board of Trustees and active investor in EdTech ventures, he continues to shape the future of digital education while serving as an expert in residence at the Imperial Enterprise Lab. His current work focuses on helping educational institutions navigate the transformative potential of AI in higher education.
