David Hsu

David Hsu is the Richard A. Sapp Professor of Management at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He holds degrees from Stanford University, Harvard University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His research focuses on entrepreneurial innovation and management, exploring topics such as intellectual property management, startup innovation, technology commercialization strategies, and venture capital. Hsu's work has been published in leading journals like the Journal of Finance and Management Science, and he serves as an associate editor for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation department of Management Science.At Wharton, Professor Hsu teaches MBA electives including "Entrepreneurship" and "Technology Strategy," where he equips students with essential skills for launching and managing innovative ventures. He is also the Associate Faculty Director of the Weiss Tech House, which supports students in developing and commercializing new technologies.
