David Alexis

David Alexis is an accomplished Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music, where he inspires students with his deep sensitivity and commitment to musical truth across genres such as jazz, gospel, and R&B. A Boston native, David has shared the stage with renowned artists including Jennifer Holiday, Common, and Willie Nelson, showcasing his impressive vocal prowess and stage presence. His early career highlights include performing as a background vocalist for "3 Mo' Tenors" at just 14 years old, and he has since appeared in notable productions like Anything Goes and Little Shop of Horrors. As an arranger and ensemble leader for the City Music All-Stars, David has facilitated performances for prestigious clients such as the Boston Celtics and Quincy Jones. He holds a full-tuition scholarship from Berklee, where he completed his undergraduate studies, and has furthered his education with a Master of Public Administration to enhance his impact on the performing arts. David is passionate about the healing power of music and has implemented music therapy programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
