Dariush Derakhshani is a prominent figure in the world of visual effects and computer graphics, currently serving as a faculty member specializing in character animation. With nearly 17 years of experience, he has worked as an animator and supervisor for renowned studios such as Pixomondo, Digital Domain, and Rhythm and Hues, contributing to commercials, television, and feature films, including the acclaimed series South Park. An accomplished author, Dariush has penned several influential books on Maya, including the best-selling Introducing Maya, which is now in its 12th edition and translated into numerous languages. His educational journey includes a BA in Architecture and Theatre from Lehigh University and an MFA in Film, TV, and Computer Animation from USC.
