Valencia Polytechnic UniversityDaria Anna Nurzynska currently serves as Associate Professor of Human Anatomy at the University of Salerno's Department of Medicine, Surgery and Dentistry since December 2020, following her role as University Researcher and Assistant Professor at the University of Naples "Federico II" from 2010-2020. Her extensive education includes an MD from the Medical University of Warsaw (1993-1999), followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at New York Medical College's Cardiovascular Research Institute, a PhD in Clinical and Pathological Morphology from the University of Naples "Federico II", and distinguished achievements in both Practical Anatomy (Northumbria University) and Medical Education (Staffordshire University). Her international experience includes positions as Visiting Professor at the International University of Gorazde and Visiting Lecturer at Divine Word University in Papua New Guinea. As Principal Investigator and Research Unit participant in multiple projects, including PRIN and FIRB-MIUR grants, she has advanced research in cardiac regenerative medicine, focusing on bioartificial materials and biomimetic scaffolds for myocardial regeneration. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Italian Society of Anatomy and Histology, Italian Society of Cardiology, and Working Groups of the European Society of Cardiology in Development, Anatomy and Pathology, and Cellular Biology of the Heart. In January 2020, she achieved the National Scientific Qualification for Full Professor in Human Anatomy, recognizing her significant contributions to the field.
