Danijela Menicanin

Dr. Danijela Menicanin serves as Senior Lecturer and Education Specialist at the Adelaide Medical School, University of Adelaide, where she coordinates Human Anatomy and Physiology courses. Her research expertise spans mesenchymal stem cells, tissue regeneration, and regenerative medicine, with significant contributions to understanding stem cell biology in tissue development and repair. As Associate Dean Learning Quality and Student Experience, she has earned multiple teaching accolades including the Health and Medical Science Executive Dean's Teaching Award and the University of Adelaide Student Led Teaching Award. Her academic credentials include a PhD in Medicine from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Health Science with Honours from the University of South Australia. Beyond her research in stem cell biology, she has developed innovative teaching pedagogies in health sciences while maintaining active involvement in the Adelaide Education Academy. Her commitment to educational excellence and student engagement continues to shape medical education at the University of Adelaide while advancing understanding of stem cell applications in tissue regeneration.
