Dr. Daniel Webster is a Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, specializing in gun violence prevention and policy. His research focuses on gun acquisition by prohibited individuals, youth violence, intimate partner violence, and strategies to reduce gun violence. Dr. Webster directs the Johns Hopkins-Baltimore Collaborative for Violence Reduction and co-leads the Violence Prevention Workgroup for the Bloomberg American Health Initiative. He was recently named the first Bloomberg Professor of American Health, an endowed position recognizing his leadership in violence prevention efforts.
