Daniel Sabanes Bove holds a Ph.D. in statistics with a focus on Bayesian model selection. He began his career at Roche as a biostatistician, worked as a data scientist at Google, and then returned to Roche. Currently, he leads the Statistical Engineering team within Data Science Acceleration, specializing in productionizing R packages, Shiny modules, and creating how-to templates for data scientists. Daniel is a (co-)author of multiple R packages on CRAN and Bioconductor and the author of the book Likelihood and Bayesian Inference: With Applications in Biology and Medicine. He also chairs the ASA BIOP working group on Software Engineering, promoting better software engineering practices within biostatistics.
