His expertise focuses on geriatric and low vision rehabilitative optometry, where he works with patients to regain independence and improve quality of life through comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation programs. At NUH's low vision clinic, which serves 80 to 100 new patients annually, he specializes in helping patients maximize their remaining vision through various optical devices and adaptive strategies. His research interests include studying the impact of visual impairment on daily activities and developing innovative approaches to vision rehabilitation, particularly for elderly patients with conditions such as glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. Through his clinical work and teaching roles, he continues to advance the field of low vision care while training the next generation of eye care professionals.
