Georgetown UniversityClyde Wilcox serves as Professor of Government at Georgetown University, where he has taught since 1987, and currently teaches at Georgetown University in Qatar. After earning his PhD in Political Science from The Ohio State University, he established himself as a prolific scholar in American and comparative politics. His research spans multiple areas including religion and politics, gender politics, interest groups, electoral behavior, and campaign finance, with particular focus on individual contributors to presidential campaigns and interest group roles in American elections. His academic impact includes authoring, co-authoring, or editing more than 30 books and hundreds of articles, with notable works such as "God's Warriors: The Christian Right in 20th Century America" and "Between Two Absolutes: Public Opinion and the Politics of Abortion." Before joining Georgetown, he worked as a statistician at the Federal Election Commission and taught at Union College. His international influence extends through lectures in over 25 countries and diplomatic training for the U.S. State Department, while also serving as Interim Dean at Georgetown University Qatar
