Claudia Alcayaga Rojas serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Adult and Aging Health at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, bringing extensive expertise in chronic disease care and mental health nursing. Her academic credentials include qualifications as a Nurse Midwife from UC Chile, a Master's in Psychology with a Health focus from UC Chile, and a postgraduate degree in Health Education and Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatry from the University of Barcelona. As a key member of the WHO/PAHO Collaborating Center for "Development of Health and Nursing Services for Chronic Disease Care," she contributes to advancing nursing practices in chronic disease management. Her work focuses on developing innovative approaches to primary care and supporting people with chronic health conditions. She serves as a guest editor for the journal Horizonte de Enfermería, contributing to the special issue on chronic conditions care, primary care, and advanced practice nursing.
