Davidson NextClark Ross serves as the Frontis W. Johnston Professor of Economics at Davidson College, where he has taught since 1979. His academic leadership includes serving as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty from 1998 to 2013, the second-longest tenure in school history. His contributions to economics education span classroom teaching, textbook authorship, and extensive involvement with AP Economics programs. He has held multiple leadership roles in AP Macroeconomics since 1988, including Chief Faculty Consultant (1998-2005), Test Development Committee Chair, and workshop instructor. Recently, he co-authored a concise, affordable economics textbook and pioneered an innovative program enabling Davidson students to teach AP economics at local high schools.
