Claire McLaughlin

Claire McLaughlin is a Senior International Educator at Arizona State University, bringing over 24 years of teaching experience to her role. She holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on ESL from Cardinal Stritch University and has dedicated a significant portion of her career to teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) at various educational levels. Claire spent ten years teaching ESL in K-12 settings in Wisconsin, where she worked with students from diverse backgrounds. Currently, she teaches at ASU's Global Launch program, where she develops curriculum for both face-to-face and online courses tailored to English for specific purposes. Her extensive experience also includes teaching English in Japan and training teachers from countries such as Vietnam, Peru, and China. Claire is passionate about enhancing the educational experience for English language learners and actively contributes to the development of programs that support their success in academic environments.
