Dr. Christopher Hassall, Associate Professor of Animal Biology at the University of Leeds, researches how human activity influences natural systems and how nature, in turn, affects people. His work spans the impacts of urbanization on ecosystems, the role of biodiversity in human health, and the use of emerging radar technologies to track biodiversity trends. Focusing primarily on insects, especially dragonflies, Chris combines methods from physical, biological, and social sciences to address complex biodiversity challenges. His aim is to engage diverse audiences, including scientists, policymakers, and the public, to create integrated solutions for environmental issues.
