Christina Scherrer, PhD

Dr. Christina Scherrer is a full professor in the Systems and Industrial Engineering department at Kennesaw State University, where she has been a faculty member since 2005. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has received prestigious fellowships such as the NDSEG/ASEE Graduate Fellowship and the Georgia Tech Presidential Fellowship. Her research focuses on applying industrial engineering to public sector challenges, including modeling the spread of tuberculosis in hospitals, optimizing community health center locations, and evaluating childhood obesity interventions. Dr. Scherrer is also deeply involved in STEM education research, exploring the effectiveness of online learning and outreach programs.
