Chris Quintana

Dr. Chris Quintana is an Associate Professor at the Marsal Family School of Education at the University of Michigan. His interdisciplinary work lies at the intersection of learning sciences, human-computer interaction, and computer science. Dr. Quintana focuses on learner-centered design processes to create innovative educational technologies that enhance learning experiences. He specializes in developing software-based scaffolding to help learners adopt and master new practices. His research also explores the use of immersive technologies, such as virtual and augmented reality, in educational contexts.As a leader in the Learning Experience Design Certificate Program, Dr. Quintana works to prepare educators and designers to create impactful and innovative learning environments. His work highlights the strategic integration of generative AI into learning design, offering novel approaches to problem-solving and curriculum development.
