Chen Yingyao has established himself as a prominent figure in public health at Fudan University, where he serves as Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Public Health. His academic journey includes a medical master's from Shanghai Medical University (1997), studies at UCLA's School of Public Health (1999-2001), and a doctorate in management from Fudan University (2006). As Director of both the National Health Commission Key Laboratory of Health Technology Assessment and the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Technology Assessment and Management, he has significantly influenced health policy development. His research contributions include over 150 publications in domestic and international journals, with approximately 100 as first author or corresponding author. His work on China's Prenatal Diagnosis Technology Management System earned him the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2007). He has contributed to 14 textbooks and edited significant works including "Health Service Evaluation" and "Economic Evaluation of Disease Burden and Prevention Strategies of Birth Defects in China." His expertise has been recognized through his selection for the Shanghai Public Health High-end Talent Overseas Training Program and the Shanghai Public Health Excellent Discipline Leader Training Program
