Inter-American Development BankCarolina Gómez serves as founder and researcher at the "Medicines, Information and Power" think tank at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where she focuses on pharmaceutical legislation and policy. After earning her law degree from Universidad de los Andes and master's in law from both Universidad de los Andes and UC Berkeley, she has established herself as an expert in pharmaceutical regulation. Her career includes serving as Director of Medicines and Medical Devices at Colombia's Ministry of Health and advisor to both INVIMA's general directorate and the Minister of Health's office. Through her advocacy work on medicine pricing and access, she continues to influence pharmaceutical policy while promoting transparency and equity in Colombia's healthcare system.
