Columbia UniversityCaitlin Gruer, MPH, was a Program Manager for the Gender, Adolescent Transitions and Environment (GATE) Program at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Her work focused on using participatory research methods to understand women's and girls' experiences related to menstruation, puberty, and sanitation. Gruer's expertise spans translating research into practical resources, implementing global initiatives on menstrual health and hygiene (MHH), and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Her portfolio included diverse projects exploring menstruation issues among homeless populations, during Ebola epidemics, and innovative methods for disseminating puberty information to adolescent girls. Gruer coordinated the Period Posse Presents webinar series, bringing together experts to discuss emerging issues in menstrual health.
