After earning her PhD in Sociology from City University London and MA in International Journalism from the University of Westminster, she established herself through diverse roles in media and education. Her career spans production work at ABC, NBC, and FOX affiliate stations, international education correspondence for Fenews.co.uk, and web production at Southern California Public Radio. Prior to Georgetown, she served as associate professor of communication studies and journalism program coordinator at Azusa Pacific University. Her research, completed in 2010, focused on how journalists adapt to creating content for web and mobile audiences, informing her approach to teaching Public Affairs Reporting, Digital News Gathering, and Television Journalism. Her decade of teaching experience emphasized preparing students for multiplatform journalism, including print, broadcast, and digital media. She currently serves as Director of Partnerships and Education at SeeBoundless, where she continues to innovate in digital storytelling and journalism education.
