Dr. Brinnae Bent is a faculty member in Artificial Intelligence at Duke University, a Responsible AI research scientist, and a startup advisor. She is a prominent figure in bridging the gap between machine learning research and industry, having led impactful projects and developed algorithms for some of the world’s largest companies. Her work has produced life-changing innovations, from helping individuals regain mobility to creating noninvasive glucose monitoring systems. With over 30 publications, Brinnae is a seasoned researcher and machine learning expert, applying her skills across various fields including health, sports, privacy, interior design, and energy. Her globally recognized research on digital biomarkers and her cutting-edge work in Responsible AI aim to address critical challenges in applying AI to real-world issues. Brinnae also writes a weekly tech newsletter, Spill the GPTea. Beyond her professional life, she is a mother, ultramarathoner, and artist.
