Bobbie Atristain serves as a Technical Trainer at Amazon Web Services, bringing decades of technology experience dating back to the early days of web design and server administration. Her extensive career spans various technical roles, including UNIX administration, phone tech support, and leading DevOps operations. Before joining AWS, she served as a technical lead for Homeland Security and Emergency Management application development across local, state, and federal government levels. As a lifelong Virginia resident and self-proclaimed "geek," she combines her deep technical expertise with a passion for teaching others how to leverage AWS cloud services effectively, particularly focusing on infrastructure optimization to minimize after-hours support needs. Beyond her professional work, she enjoys home renovation projects in her historic house and spending time with her husband and three German Shepherds.
