Dr. Bina Ramamurthy is a Professor of Teaching in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University at Buffalo, with over two decades of experience in STEM research, curriculum development, and instruction. She directs the SUNY-approved certificate program in Data-Intensive Computing and leads the Blockchain ThinkLab, which received the prestigious President’s Circle Funding at UB. Bina has developed cutting-edge technology training programs for industries like manufacturing, automotive, and healthcare with global participation. In 2017, she was honored as the Best Teaching Faculty of the Year by UB’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. She has served as Principal Investigator on four NSF grants and co-investigator on five SUNY IITG grants. Bina holds a B.E. (Honors) from Madras University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Wichita State University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UB.
