EdxBenjamín Quesada is a Senior Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Universidad del Rosario. He holds a postdoctoral degree in vegetation-atmosphere interactions, as well as a Ph.D. and Master's in Climatology. His research focuses on climate-ecosystem interactions, climate extremes, the impacts of deforestation on climate, ecosystem functions, and the terrestrial carbon cycle. Benjamín is also a co-author of the recent IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Land (SRCCL, 2019) and the Global Assessment Report by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES, 2019), particularly contributing to chapters on land-atmosphere interactions and the future of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
