About Me
Dr. Benilde García Cabrero serves as Full-Time Professor in both the Division of Professional Studies and the Division of Graduate Studies and Research at UNAM's Faculty of Psychology. Her academic credentials include a Master's in Educational Psychology from UNAM and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology through a joint program between McGill University's Faculty of Education and UNAM's Faculty of Psychology. Her expertise spans teacher training, socio-emotional skills development, and educational evaluation. Through her Coursera course "Desarrollo de habilidades socioemocionales en el aula," she helps educators understand and implement effective strategies for promoting students' social and emotional competencies. As a national and international consultant, she has contributed significantly to the design and implementation of teacher training programs. Her research focuses on educational psychology, particularly in the areas of teacher professional development and the assessment of socio-emotional skills in educational contexts.
