Ben Langmead

Ben Langmead is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, where he focuses on making high-throughput biological datasets accessible for biomedical researchers. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 2012. Ben's research group has developed several high-impact software tools for genomics, significantly advancing the field. He has received notable recognitions, including a Sloan Research Fellowship and a National Science Foundation CAREER award, both in 2014.
