Wageningen University & ResearchAssumpta Uzamukunda currently serves as Rwanda Restoration Research Associate at World Resources Institute, where she leads restoration activities in Rwanda after previously serving as Local Representative for Wageningen University & Research's HortInvest project. After completing her BSc in Biodiversity Conservation from the University of Rwanda and Master's in Forest Management from Wageningen University & Research, she has built an impressive career spanning multiple international organizations. Her work focuses on landscape restoration, sustainable agriculture, and multi-stakeholder engagement, demonstrated through her roles at FAO, IUCN, and the Rwanda Natural Resources Authority. As a Sustainable Land Use Fellow with the African Food Fellowship and key contributor to various horticulture development initiatives, she continues to advance sustainable landscape management while facilitating public-private collaboration in Rwanda's agricultural sector. Her expertise particularly shines in policy development and institutional capacity building, shown through her work on natural forest rehabilitation and sustainable horticulture development
