Columbia UniversityAsim Ansari serves as the William T. Dillard Professor of Marketing at Columbia Business School, where he has established himself as a leading authority in marketing analytics and customer relationship management. After earning his BE from Osmania, India, PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and PhD from New York University, he joined Columbia in 1996 following a tenure at the University of British Columbia. His research expertise spans digital marketing, social network modeling, and Bayesian approaches to consumer behavior analysis. His scholarly work has earned numerous accolades, including the Paul Green Award for his research on e-customization, and multiple nominations for prestigious awards including the O'Dell Award, John Little Best Paper Award, and Frank M. Bass Outstanding Dissertation Award. He has contributed significantly to leading journals such as Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, and Management Science. Beyond research, he excels in teaching, having received the Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence, and currently teaches Pricing Strategy while serving on editorial boards of major marketing journals
