Delft University of TechnologyArvind Gangoli Rao serves as Professor and Chair of Sustainable Aircraft Propulsion at TU Delft's Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, where he has established himself as a leading authority in aircraft propulsion systems and sustainable aviation technologies. After earning his MSc and PhD in aerospace engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, he completed postdoctoral research at Technion, Israel, before joining TU Delft in 2008. His research focuses on gas turbines and novel propulsion systems for aircraft, particularly those utilizing alternative energy sources. He has authored approximately 100 scientific publications and led several major research initiatives, including the EC-funded AHEAD project and Dutch-funded APPU project in collaboration with Safran and Airbus. As the Dutch national representative at the International Society of Air Breathing Engines (ISABE) and member of the ACARE working group on Energy and Environment, he plays a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable aviation. Currently serving as Academic Portfolio Director for "Future of Transportation" at TU Delft Extension School, he continues to advance innovations in climate-neutral aviation technologies
