IIM CalcuttaProfessor Sudhir Jaiswall is an Associate Professor in the Finance & Control Group at IIM Calcutta and holds a PhD from the University of Calcutta (2016), an MS from the University of Rochester (2010), a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad (1998), an MCom (First Rank) from the University of Calcutta (1994) and a BCom (Honours) from St. Xavier’s College (1992); he is also a certified Grad CWA, CFA and FRM. He teaches core MBA courses in Corporate Financial Reporting & Analysis and Cost Management, an elective on Financial Statement Analysis, and doctoral seminars on accounting research and executive compensation studies, and he supervises internships exclusively for IIM Calcutta students. His publications—including “Sales Growth, CEO Pay & Corporate Governance in India” (JAAF, 2021) and “Corporate Governance & CEO Compensation in Indian Firms” (JCAE, 2016)—and his McGraw Hill book Corporate Financial Statements under IND AS (2023) reflect his empirical focus on CEO compensation, governance, auditing and tax research in emerging markets. At IIM Calcutta he has served on the Doctoral Program, Financial Research & Trading Lab (Coordinator ’20–’23), Student Affairs and Placement Committees and currently chairs PGPEX-VLM and PGDBA.I.
