Anup Dewanji

Professor Anup Dewanji is a Retired Professor from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in Kolkata, where he has had a distinguished career in the Applied Statistics Unit. He earned his B.Stat and M.Stat degrees from ISI and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo in 1984. Throughout his tenure at ISI, he progressed through various academic ranks, including Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor, ultimately serving as a Professor (HAG) until his retirement in 2024. Dr. Dewanji's research expertise includes survival analysis, reliability, stochastic modeling, and clinical trials. He has published extensively, with 70 journal articles and additional contributions to book chapters and conference proceedings, accumulating over 1,049 citations and an h-index of 16.
