Antonio Nunez

Antonio Nunez serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Postdoctoral Education at Michigan State University's Graduate School, a position he has held since 1999, while also maintaining his role as Professor of Psychology. His responsibilities include overseeing thesis and dissertation processing, managing postdoctoral affairs, and administering an NSF-funded AGEP grant that supports cross-disciplinary learning communities. With a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Florida State University and postdoctoral training at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Dr. Nunez has built an impressive research career in neuroendocrinology and chronobiology, securing continuous funding from NIH institutes and NSF over 35 years and publishing more than 100 peer-reviewed papers. His commitment to academic development is demonstrated through his work organizing professional preparation workshops for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, while also collaborating with the Office of the VP for Research to provide research and travel funding support for emerging scholars.
