For more than ten years, she has contributed her expertise to the IMF's Fiscal Affairs Department as a short-term expert, while also collaborating with other development agencies. Her comprehensive experience encompasses organizational reforms, operational improvements, and policy implementation in tax administration. Beyond her public service, Chooi has held board positions in both non-profit and commercial organizations, primarily in the financial services sector. Her academic credentials include advanced degrees in science and commerce from the University of Adelaide and Flinders University. Her work at the IMF includes providing technical assistance and training in revenue administration to member countries, with particular focus on strengthening tax administration systems and improving compliance management frameworks.
