She is a member of the Zoology Unit within the Department of Animal Biology, Plant Biology, and Ecology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Holding a PhD in Biology with a specialization in Marine Biology, her research primarily focuses on marine benthos communities and the management and conservation of animal organisms. She is part of the Ecosystem Health and Aquatic Animals research group (Seaaq-UAB).
