Anna Sfyrla is an accomplished experimental particle physicist who studied physics at the University of Athens, Greece, before earning her PhD from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2008. Her doctoral research focused on the CDF experiment at the Tevatron in Fermilab, Illinois, and the ATLAS experiment at CERN in Geneva. Following her PhD, she served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and held a research fellowship at CERN. She later took on a research staff position at CERN before returning to the University of Geneva in 2015 as an assistant professor. Currently, Sfyrla is an active member of the ATLAS collaboration, where she investigates new phenomena beyond the standard model of particle physics and has assumed various coordination roles within the collaboration.
