Dr. Angel Abusleme has built an impressive academic career at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where his journey began as a student and evolved into his current role as a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. After completing his education at Colegio San Pedro Nolasco (1981-1992), he excelled at UC Chile, earning both his Electrical Civil Engineering degree and Master of Science in Engineering with highest distinction in 2000. His academic excellence was recognized with prestigious awards including the Shell Scholarship, "Best Graduated Engineer of the Year 2000" from the College of Engineers of Chile, and the "Roberto Ovalle Aguirre" award from the Institute of Engineers of Chile. His doctoral studies at Stanford University, supported by the President of the Republic scholarship, culminated in his 2011 PhD with a thesis on pulse processing for particle physics experiments. Currently, he specializes in microelectronic design and electronic instrumentation for particle physics experiments, contributing significantly to both teaching and research in his field.
