EdxAna María Aldana is a researcher at Universidad del Rosario and a member of the Grupo Mutis, working to promote interdisciplinary dialogue that aligns ecosystem conservation with the livelihoods of local communities. Her research focuses on the composition and ecology of tropical forests in Colombia, particularly lowland forests. She is committed to ensuring that conservation efforts do not conflict with the ways of life of the communities in the territories that need protection. Additionally, she is involved in the Historia Natural de las Plantas Tropicales research group and collaborates on the Semillero de investigación de ecología de plantas tropicales with Adriana Sánchez.
