Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M)Ana García Armada serves as Full Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where she leads the Communications Research Group and has held various management positions including Head of Signal Theory and Communications Department and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of International Relations. After completing her PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnical University of Madrid in 1998, she has established herself as a leading researcher in wireless communications and signal processing. Her research portfolio includes coordination of over 30 national and 14 international research projects, plus 30 industry contracts. As an IEEE Fellow and Fellow of the AAIA, she has contributed significantly to international standards through ITU and ETSI, while serving on editorial boards of prestigious journals including IEEE Transactions on Communications. Her innovations in wireless communications have earned numerous accolades, including the Bell Labs Prize 2014 (third place) and the IEEE ComSoc/KICS Exemplary Global Service Award in 2022. Currently serving as VP of Member and Global Activities for IEEE Communications Society, she continues to advance the field through her research in multi-carrier techniques, multi-antenna systems, and signal processing applications in wireless communications.
