Amr Helal

Dr. Amr Helal is a distinguished pharmaceutical scientist and entrepreneur serving as CEO of Health Tech for Integrated Health Solutions in Cairo, Egypt. After earning his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University with specialization in natural product chemistry and research experience at Toyama University, Japan, he has dedicated his career to developing innovative health and sustainability solutions. As founder of multiple successful ventures including ITM (1989) and Health Tech, he has led groundbreaking research in rice residue management and nutraceutical development. His work has earned several prestigious recognitions including the Green Apple Award (2005) and Innova Award from Heliopolis University (2011). Under his leadership, Health Tech has secured over 50 million LE in national and EU funding for research projects focused on healthy aging, food fortification, and functional foods. His expertise spans pharmacognosy, sustainable agriculture, and health innovation, while maintaining active roles in Egypt's Chamber of Industry and various scientific committees. Through Health Tech, he continues to pioneer research bridging traditional pharmacology with contemporary sustainability practices, developing innovative solutions for global health challenges including malnutrition and age-related conditions.
