Leading Hittitologist Advances Ancient Anatolian Studies
Dr. Alice Mouton serves as Research Director (Directrice de Recherche) in Hittitology at CNRS within the Orient et Méditerranée laboratory, where she has established herself as a leading expert in Hittite and Luwian studies. Since 2004, she has taught Hittite and Luwian languages across prestigious French institutions including the University of Strasbourg, Institut Catholique de Paris, École Pratique des Hautes Études, and Sorbonne Université. Her research focuses on ancient Anatolian religions, rituals, and languages, and she has recently co-created and organized an innovative MOOC on Hittite civilization with Isabelle Prieto, making this ancient culture accessible to a broader audience through digital education
