Inter-American Development BankAlia Luz serves as International Project Coordinator at Thailand's Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP), where she focuses on bilateral and multilateral collaborations to strengthen health technology assessment capabilities. After earning her bachelor's degree in Economics from Bryn Mawr College in 2013 and gaining experience in renewable energy economics through USAID projects in Liberia, she has established herself as an expert in health policy research and economic evaluation. Her work includes analyzing HTA development factors, conducting economic evaluations, and building capacity for evidence generation in low- and middle-income countries. Through her research contributions on topics ranging from universal health coverage to non-communicable disease prevention, she continues to advance understanding of health technology assessment while supporting evidence-based healthcare decision-making across Asia.
