Delft University of TechnologyAlessandra Hool serves as CEO of ESM Foundation – Foundation for Rare Metals since 2017, bringing expertise from her academic background in History and Philosophy of Science and International Law and Economics. Her work focuses on critical raw materials management and sustainability, coordinating significant initiatives including the International Round Table on Materials Criticality (IRTC). As Managing Director of ESM Foundation, she develops and coordinates national and international projects aimed at sustainable resource management, while supporting private sector and political actors in decision-making regarding raw materials supply chain risks. Her expertise spans criticality assessments, circular strategies for critical raw materials, resource economics, and criticality mitigation strategies at both corporate and governmental levels. Through her leadership, she continues to foster research and development in critical raw materials management, with particular emphasis on sustainable practices and resource optimization.
