María Alejandra Salvagiot is a passionate primary education teacher with a deep-rooted connection to rural communities in Argentina. Born on July 11, 1968, in Vera, Santa Fe, she completed her education in a local Catholic school and began her teaching career in 1988, quickly finding her calling in rural education. Over the years, she has worked primarily in rural schools, where she developed a profound appreciation for the unique challenges and rewards of teaching in these settings. After serving as a teacher, she became the director of a school in her hometown and later took on the role of supervisor for a section encompassing 23 institutions, 17 of which are located in rural areas. Her current focus is on providing ongoing support to these schools as they navigate various obstacles. Despite the challenges faced by rural education, Alejandra believes it is an ideal environment for fostering meaningful learning experiences, emphasizing the importance of strong relationships among students, families, and the community to create quality educational opportunities.
