EdxAlberth Alvarado holds a Master's in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As the Director of the Department of Applied Mathematics at Galileo University, he has extensive teaching experience in engineering mathematics, including calculus and differential equations at the undergraduate level and operations research at the graduate level. His research focuses on complementarity problems, variational inequalities, convex and nonconvex programming, game theory, and distributed optimization. Additionally, he is passionate about engineering education, particularly in enhancing mathematics instruction for future engineers.
