The National University of SingaporeAileen Lam serves as Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore's Centre for English Language Communication, where she combines expertise in educational technology with cross-cultural communication. After earning her Master of Education from NIE-NTU, BSc in Business from the University of London, and TESOL diploma from London Teacher Training College, she has built an impressive career spanning teaching, curriculum design, and corporate training. Currently serving as Module Coordinator for CS2101 Effective Communication for Computing Professionals and Resident Fellow at Sheares Hall, she has earned multiple recognitions including the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award 2022, NUS Annual Digital Excellence Award 2021, and CELC Teaching Excellence Award 2021. Her innovative work includes leading the development of an EdX MOOC on Intercultural Communication and contributing to various initiatives including the NUS resilience and growth program. Through her diverse international experience living in Algeria, Boston, Hong Kong, and Singapore, she brings unique cultural sensitivity to her teaching while continuing to pioneer technology-enhanced learning approaches in higher education.
