Agustín Da Fieno Delucchi serves as Director of International Data & Applied Science at Microsoft while teaching as an instructor at the University of Washington's Professional Certificate in Localization program. His career spans over three decades in the software industry, beginning in 1992 with enterprise solutions development before transitioning to international software development in 1998 when he relocated from Peru to Dublin, Ireland. During his more than 20-year tenure at Microsoft, he has held diverse roles including terminologist, linguist, translator, engineer, program manager, architect, and data scientist, while his expertise has evolved from traditional localization to cutting-edge applications of artificial intelligence. His current focus centers on transforming complex data into strategic business solutions, particularly in developing global readiness requirements for artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. As a polyglot with extensive experience in data science, he creates accessible, culturally relevant technology experiences, while his teaching contributions include co-developing the Introduction to Internationalization and Localization course at the University of Washington, where he shares his expertise alongside other industry professionals in preparing the next generation of localization specialists.
