EdxAdriana Sánchez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Universidad del Rosario and a researcher in the Functional and Ecosystem Ecology group. Her primary research interests include the ecophysiology of alpine plant species, the impact of climate change on plants and ecosystems, biodiversity in páramo and high-altitude ecosystems, and plant-animal interactions. She has extensive experience in plant ecophysiology, particularly in relation to environmental stressors. Recently, her work has expanded into socioecology and conservation, focusing on integrating social well-being within environmental frameworks. Adriana is also part of the IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) and has served on the Advisory Council for Risk Management and Climate Change in Bogotá.
